Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapist works with each person to identify their goals, strengths, and challenges, and to create a personalized treatment plan that suits their lifestyle and preferences. The treatment plan may involve modifying the person’s environment, teaching new skills or strategies, providing adaptive equipment, or engaging in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Our occupational therapist also collaborates with the person’s family, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes and satisfaction
How It Works ?
- Self-Care & Life Skills - Learning to perform daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, feeding, playing, household chores, money management, meal preparation, and personal safety.
- Play - The ability to interact with others, toys and their environment in a suitable way to develop skills that are appropriate for their age.
- Hand Skills - Improving hand skills to successfully complete activities such as writing with a pencil, tying shoes, using scissors and zippers, buttoning buttons, and manipulating toys.
- Movement Planning & Coordination - The ability to plan, organize, sequence, and execute body movements in a smooth and controlled way.
- Sensory & Emotional Integration - helping your child to adjust to their environment with positive coping skills to promote functional and healthy behavior across settings; emotional regulation will be evaluated based on sensory regulation
- Thinking Skills - problem solving, task initiation, working memory, organization, time management, planning/prioritizing, and focus.
- Eye Skills - Improving visual perception and eye control and the ability to recognize objects in order and make adjustments regarding size and spatial relationships.
- Feeding - The ability to engage during mealtimes. Skills that may affect healthy mealtime engagement: sensory, posture, play, development, social interactions and cognition.
- Vision-Motor & Vision-Perceptual Skills - These skills help children to visually and cognitively process sequences, shapes, and three-dimensional objects around them as well as help children engage in activities such as writing, cutting, clothing management, and engagement with toys. Occupational Therapists are able to help identify whether a child has difficulty with vision-motor integration, vision perceptual or motor coordination.

Speech Therapy
A speech therapist is a health professional who helps people with communication and swallowing problems. They work with people of all ages who have difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding, reading, writing, or using voice. They also help people who have trouble eating or drinking safely
How It Works ?
- Enhancing understanding and expression of language
- Helping your child produce sounds clearly with articulation therapy
- Treating problems with movement that affect speaking and swallowing through oral motor function therapy, strength training sessions, coordination practice, and breathing therapy
- Teaching strategies to support fluency, guiding patients in building speaking confidence across settings, addressing potential social-emotional impacts of stuttering, and supporting people who stutter by teaching advocacy skills and providing stuttering education to patients and their families.
- Improving resonance as part of treatment for pediatric voice disorders that affect pitch, loudness and overall voice quality.
- If your child has difficulty planning speech movements, they may have childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). We use repetition, exercises, and phonetic and hand cues to help your child succeed.
One to One Sessions
One to one sessions are a type of service that we offer at my pediatric therapy clinic. One to one sessions are individualized and focused sessions where we work with one child at a time to help them improve their speech, language, communication, or swallowing skills.
How It Works ?
- We provide the child with personalized attention and instruction from me, a licensed and experienced speech therapist. We can tailor the therapy sessions to the child’s specific needs, goals, and interests, and use the most appropriate methods and techniques for their condition and level of development.
- Allow the child to learn at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and focus on their strengths and challenges. We monitor the child’s progress and adjust the therapy plan accordingly. One to one sessions can help the child achieve faster and better results than group sessions.
- Involve the child’s parents or caregivers in the therapy process. We provide education and guidance to the parents or caregivers on how to support the child’s communication and swallowing skills at home and in other settings. We answer any questions or concerns that the parents or caregivers may have about the child’s condition or therapy.
